• You must be very happy with the success you are achieving. What’s the reason for that?
“My job has always been challenging, and I’ve experienced highs and lows, but I am really passionate about my job, and I believe my success is due to the fat that I never give in”!
Devi essere soddisfatto del successo che stai ottenendo. A cosa è dovuto?
Il mio è stato un lavoro impegnativo vissuto con alti e bassi ma la mia è una vera passione e sono convinto che il mio successo sia dovuto al fatto che non mi arrendo mai!
• Is there a particular cut or hairdo that defines your style?
“I love short, well-defined haircuts. However, I suppose the work I’ve done as an Afro stylist really made a difference. I have received two national awards, and for three years in a row I have been recognized as one of the first six top artists of the UK. The last competition I participated in was the BHA 2018. It’s always nice to stand out”!
Hai un taglio o uno stile che meglio ti rappresenta nel mondo degli Hairstylist?
La mia grande passione sono i tagli corti e ben scolpiti. Ma immagino che il lavoro svolto come Afro stylist abbia veramente fatto la differenza. Ho vinto due premi nazionali e per tre anni consecutivi sono stato riconosciuto come Artista tra i primi sei del Regno Unito. L’ultima competizione alla quale ho partecipato è stata il BHA 2018. È Sempre bello distinguersi!
• Tell us about your experience with celebrities
“Years ago, I was lucky enough to be chosen, for the Cannes Festival, as the hairstylist who had to take care of Gucci’s clients… it was AMAZING. Since then I have been looking after the look of various personalities of the showbiz, both in London and in the USA.”
Raccontaci delle tue esperienze con le celebrità
Ho avuto la fortuna anni fa di essere stato invitato a partecipare come Hairstylist al Festival di Cannes per prendermi cura dei clienti di Gucci. . . un’esperienza INCREDIBILE. Da allora seguo i look di diversi personaggi dello spettacolo sia a Londra che in America.
• What’s the earliest lesson you’ve learned?
“It’s essential to be as prepared as possible before starting. I mean, whatever they ask you, you must be able to deliver. In the show business, competence is closely related to how quickly you react. Very often, in just 4 minutes, you have to change a look you created only 5 minutes earlier!”
Qual’è la lezione che hai imparato più in fretta?
Sii il più preparato possibile prima di iniziare. Ciò significa che, indipendentemente da ciò che ti viene chiesto, devi essere sempre in grado di realizzarlo. E, nel mondo dello spettacolo, la competenza è strettamente legata alla velocità. Spesso in 4 minuti devi cambiare il look che hai creato 5 minuti prima!
