“The joy and creativity I immediately felt when I started working in a salon.”
Cosa ti ha ispirato nella scelta di questo mestiere?
La gioia e la creatività che ho da subito riconosciuto lavorando in salone.
• Is there any tool you can’t do without?
“Hair straighteners, no doubt… This is something I keep saying to all those I meet – if they hadn’t been invented, I wouldn’t be a hairstylist! They enable you to do anything, from waves to afro curls, they help you create the most sophisticated and glamorous styles!”
Qual è lo strumento nel tuo lavoro di cui non puoi fare a meno?
Senza dubbio le piastre… Lo dico a tutti quelli che incontro, se non le avessero inventate non sarei un parrucchiere! Puoi fare qualsiasi cosa: dall’onda all’arricciatura afro, per creare gli stili più sofisticati e Glamour!
• What’s your definition of beauty?
“I’ve always thought beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is defined by so many aspects that it’s almost impossible to describe. My perception of beauty is connected to lines that are soft, natural, and yet, at the same time, rigorous. In practical terms, for me, expressing beauty is always trying to do one’s best! ALWAYS! And compete with yourself, not with others!”
Come definisci la bellezza?
Penso sempre che la bellezza sia negli occhi di chi guarda. Ci sono così tanti concetti che la esprimono che è quasi impossibile definirla. La mia percezione della bellezza è legata alle linee morbide, naturali ma al tempo stesso, rigorose. Esprimere la bellezza nel concreto per me vuol dire cercare di fare sempre del proprio meglio! SEMPRE! Non competere mai con gli altri … sempre con se stessi!
• Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
“Winner of the UK Hairstylist of the Year award, salon franchise owner… and eventually more famous than Cadbury Chocolate!”
Dove ti vedi tra 5 anni?
Al primo posto come UK hairstylist of the Year, essere titolare di una rete di saloni in franchising… infine diventare più famoso del Candbury Chocolate!
